The Clingendael estate has a rich history. Many garden and agricultural architects have contributed to the atmosphere and appearance of this estate. In the 19th century, garden architect Zocher replaced the original French garden architecture with the English landscape style, which was popular at the time.
There are various walking routes on the estate and there is a teahouse. The private sculpture garden Clingenbosch offers more than 60 (inter-) national works of art and can be visited on Thursday afternoons in the months of May through October.
