This is where the goods trains full of salt used to pass you over these railway tracks. They were on their way to the largest salt factory in the Netherlands, right where you are standing now. It was also busy here with people coming from all over the country to visit the salt wave pool. You don't see much of this anymore. However, you can take a piece of the journey of the goods trains by boarding the steam train to Museum Buurtspoorweg.
