Little Castle De Blauwe Camer (The Blue Room) is a manor house in Oosterhout that was built in 1400. In 1647, the Norbertinesses of Sint-Catharinadal moved into the castle, which was once owned by the elite and even a knight's order. The wall in the characteristic castle tower has a bright blue colour, from which the property got its name 'the Blue Room'.
The sisters of St Catharinadal used their fields for grazing cows and growing maize, but now the land has been made suitable for viticulture. The vineyard, attached to the convent, is a beautiful Biblical metaphor. In the Wine House, you will taste homemade wine and seasonal dishes.
In the Monastery Shop, you will find products made by the sisters themselves, such as wines from their own vineyard, as well as regional products and products from their own monastic order, the Norbertines from the Netherlands and Belgium.
