The striking Rozet building was opened in 2013 by Princess Beatrix and houses the Library, an Art Company, the Volksuniversiteit and the Heritage Centre. The building gets its name from the pattern rosette that is incorporated in the building in various ways, both on the inside and outside.
In the basement you will find the Heritage Centre. In this atmospheric room with cabinets full of coins, crockery, furniture, art and books, you can imagine yourself back in the Middle Ages for a moment, as much has been preserved from the time of the Dukes of Gelre. You can take a look around or stay for hours as there is also a collection of unique historical books about Gelderland, the Duchy of Gelre and, for instance, the Battle of Arnhem.
All books can be browsed and even borrowed. The combination of library and museum makes this place unique and very educational. There is an underground connection to the Historical Cellars and on the top floor you will find a roof terrace with great views over the city.
The Heritage Centre is freely accessible.
