Admire an extraordinary collection of rural and farm objects you can only see at Streekmuseum Vredegoed. The collection includes objects from around 1900 from the villages of Tienhoven, Oud-Maarsseveen and the surrounding moorland. They give you a fascinating picture of life and work at that time.
The building of Farm Vredegoed is a monumental longhouse farmhouse from 1906, which with some historic art nouveau elements is itself of valuable museum significance and a National Monument. Inside the farmhouse was a dairy and cheese factory. There is also an authentic wagon barn from the same period in the yard.
The volunteers enthusiastically tell you about how people used to live, the composition of the village and the labour on the farm and the moors. A tour of the cosy and nostalgic museum completes your experience.
