Peilmolen (water level mill) - Oud-Alblas
The Peilmolen has existed since 1527 and until 1861 it was the gauge mill for the Nederwaard water board. This involved the mill keeping an eye on the water level and signalling the level to the other mills. This enabled the mills to keep the water level up.
In 1861, this function was taken over by another mill.
The Peilmolen can only be viewed from the outside and cannot be visited.
