Orchard Lisboa - 's Gravenmoer

This romantic orchard has existed since 1912 and covers some 2.5 hectares. The orchard still contains old standard trees of different varieties. A wide range of fruit is grown, including apples, pears, cherries, berries, blackberries, plums, strawberries and grapes. Every Friday and Saturday, the farm shop sells fresh fruit, homemade apple and pear syrup, juices and jams.

At the orchard, biodiversity is paramount. Each element naturally helps another. For example, Shropshire sheep are used to keep the grass and weeds in check. Each year, flower seeds are sown on the edges of the orchard for birds and insects. The kestrels and little owls know how to find their nests on the property every year and keep the mouse population under control, while tits love to nibble the aphids. In addition, bees from the local beekeeper provide good pollination.

In short, the authentic orchard and shop are definitely worth a visit!
