This unique open air museum can be found on the edge of the historic town of Ootmarsum. A museum that shows the rural life of a hundred years ago in Twente. You will find the typical Saxon farmhouses, fully furnished, outhouses that the farmer needed to survive: a bakery, a blacksmith's shop, a wagon house, an apiary, cattle barns, wagon sheds, barns for agricultural tools and much more.
There is also a nice museum shop and you can take a look at the water and paper mill on the premises. A nice enrichment of your cycle route across the Twente countryside.
