Noordscheschut lock - Noorscheschut
The Noordscheschut lock is a lively place in the village. Get off your bike and take a look at the boats in the lock that bridge the difference in height in the Hoogeveense Vaart.
On the opposite side is a bench and a story post. Have coffee, ice cream or lunch at Troost on the terrace. This is where the boatmen used to have a drink when the Towing barges transported people here. First pulled by people, mostly women, later by horses.
