Nature reserve Waverhoek - Waverveen
Waverhoek is a stepping off point in the most literal sense of the word. You cannot cycle in this nature reserve, but you can take a short hour-long walk. And it is well worth it: it is a true eldorado for water birds. Especially in spring, you can enjoy the many birds here, including the bluethroat and the avocet. But birds know how to find this place in other seasons too. Geese from Scandinavia, wigeons and white-fronted geese are regular, welcome visitors.
