De Koeweide is a nature development park where visitors can walk freely. The park borders the ecological zone Oude Diepje and forms a transition between built-up areas and agricultural land. Digging pools and raising hills creates a special habitat for unique plants.
Young Scottish Highlanders help combat overgrowth and stay out all year round. Their presence attracts insects, which provide food for small birds. With some luck, hedgehogs, hares, rabbits and even buzzards or weasels can also be spotted here.
