De Blikken is a bird-rich nature reserve near Groede full of creeks and small waters. This landscape was created during the Eighty Years' War, when the area was flooded against the enemy. Now you can go bird watching and walking here. From no fewer than two bird-watching huts - De Sluiswachter and Hof van Scheerens - you have beautiful views. Narrow paths and hawthorn hedges create an atmospheric picture.
Next to De Blikken is the Van der Lingen polder. This polder was diked in 1636 by Johan van der Linge. It is a small area of 39 hectares. Together with De Blikken, it forms a beautiful piece of nature, perfect for enjoying peace and quiet and the Zeeland landscape.
