Beekvliet is a beautiful nature reserve and country estate, located between Barchem and Borculo. The landscapes are a variation of farmland, forest, girdles and many mushrooms. In the forest, there are old pedunculate oaks dating back to 1840. Along the lane to Beekvliet House there are even some older oaks.

Major nature restoration projects are being carried out on parts of Beekvliet. This will make the originally wet and barren nature of this area more resilient to desiccation. The flower-rich grasslands and heathlands will be further expanded, allowing rare plants such as spotted orchid, bell gentian and grass of Parnassus to flourish again.
