Near the former peat colonies Helenaveen and Griendtsveen and situated next to the nature reserve Deurnesche Peel, you will find Natuurpoort De Peel. This is the entrance to a unique marshland area on the border of North Brabant and Limburg. Countless unusual plants grow in this varied landscape. Moreover, it is one of the richest bird areas in Western Europe and a beautiful cycling area with a rich history of peat extraction.
