Nature activity centre De Koppel lets you experience the nature of the Vecht valley in an accessible way. For example, children can pick apart owl pellets and microscopes are available at long tables. There are exhibits, such as the aurochs' skull fragment found near Rheeze, which surfaced during the digging of the new Vecht arm.

The accompanying Koppelgarden attracts young and old. Especially in summer when the flowery meadows stimulate the senses. Here too, children and their parents can immerse themselves in nature. Literally, because there is a barefoot path with water, sand and blubber that you can feel between your toes. You can also pump the water yourself. And if you get wet anyway, you can use a small scoop net to find the animals that live in the water. And there are lots of them.

Or look up, and just look into the eyes of Miss Stork. This pretty bird is welcome on the high pole in the garden, overlooking the Vecht. The water feature in the garden may be linked to the river this year. Thus, the rain river will be extended another little bit.
