Natural History and Ethnological Museum - Oudenbosch

N 51.5882308 / E 4.5259761

The unique items in this museum were once compiled based on the collection of the Brothers of Saint Louis. The objects were used during the teaching activities of the Saint Louis Youth Institute.

Enter the museum and go to the top floor, where you will discover the Nature Room. Here, fascinating life-size dioramas with taxidermy animals await you. The Ethnology Room houses a brand-new, multifaceted exhibition about the White Fathers. Here, their connection to Oudenbosch is highlighted, along with their impressive mission in Africa and their courageous fight against the slave trade. In the Geology Room, you can marvel at rocks and fossils, where you can learn more about the formation and decomposition of rocks and the geological history of the Netherlands.

We have set out a fascinating treasure hunt especially for our younger visitors. In the hearing room there is a special ‘Do’ table where you can look at, touch and try out objects. Colouring pages and crayons are available for the little ones, while visitors of all ages can enjoy a refreshing cup of coffee, tea or lemonade (included in the entrance fee!).
