Museum Warsenhoeck - Nieuwegein

N 52.0226477 / E 5.082766

Museum Warsenhoeck in the Nature Quarter combines the far-reaching history of the nearby villages with art exhibitions.

A visit to this museum will show you how the villages of Jutphaas, Vreeswijk and Geyne came into being. The exhibition is also called the timeline because you go back in time as much as 300,000 years!

The timeline shows objects from the Jidden-Paleolithic (15,000-200,000 years ago) found in Jutphaas. Or admire the Bronze Age Sword of Jutphaas. And so there are many more utensils, photos, prints and moving images that bring history to life.

A themed exhibition is organised three times a year. Then you can see, for example, utensils and tools from nostalgic farm life or other themes.

On the second floor, the former hayloft, you can admire changing exhibitions by amateur artists from Nieuwegein.
