Farm Smedekinck was already mentioned in 1341 as a fief of the monastery founded by Ludger in Werden (Germany). Since 2007, the beautifully restored farmhouse and its barns have been home to a permanent collection, constantly changing exhibitions and theme days. You will gain insight into the history and way of life of the people of Zelhem through the ages. The museum is also a wedding location.
All exhibition spaces are on the ground floor and accessible to wheelchair users. The museum is equipped with disabled toilets.
The reception area is multifunctional and is used as restoration and exhibition area. Coffee, tea, ice cream etc. are available here. It can seat approx. 80 persons. The museum also has a terrace in the herb garden.
The museum shop is also located in the entrance hall. Here you can buy various interesting articles and natural products from the museum's own herb garden.
