The Grocery Museum is housed in a small, early 17th-century house on the Hoogt. There is a benevolent tranquillity here that makes you automatically step into the past. Without effort, you imagine yourself in the time of Betje Boerhave, a 19th-century grocer's wife. The neighbours of the time and their living conditions are brought back to her time. The Museum of Grocery is therefore also known as the Betje Boerhave Museum.
