Museum Nairac arose from the cooperation between mayor Nairac and town clerk Bouwheer. In the 19th century, they did research together into the (pre) history of the Veluwe and displayed their beautiful collection of archaeological objects in a room in the town hall: the Oudheidkamer. Their collection formed the basis for the current collection, which includes cups from prehistoric times, smoothly polished stone axes, flint arrowheads and jewellery made of bronze and glass.
Apart from the archaeological department, the museum also houses art and other types of exhibitions. All of them tell a part of the history of this region.
Be tempted to dive into the past and round off your visit with coffee or tea and a Gelderland Temptation from the Van der Veer bakery.
