Go back in time in Museumboerderij Het Hofshuus and experience rural life in the first half of the last century. The utensils collected here are 'taken from life' and show how people worked and lived on the farm. Experience history on the beautiful yard with old crops. A visit to this museum farm brings forgotten memories from the lives of your (great) grandparents back to life.
The first mention of Het Hofshuus can be found in an inventory list from 1605: "no house but a stuck hut", which probably points to the turbulent period in the Eighty Years' War in which Het Hofshuus apparently fell. In 1625 there is again mention of a ""house and shovel"". The mud walls were replaced by brick walls in 1872. At least, we may assume so, since that year is engraved in the sill of the seed hatch in the facade. Add this wonderful museum to your cycling route and immerse yourself in peasant history.
