This museum is located in a farmhouse that used to be a dairy farm. The museum is actually a hobby that got out of hand and originated in 1967. In fact, Mr and Mrs Rovers bought the farm in 1967. Around 1985, due to the introduction of the milk quota, they decided to stop farming.
They decided to store the things that remained instead of selling them. Over time, they collected more and more old tools and utility vehicles. People also brought utensils to them. There are objects from all kinds of professions, such as a blacksmith, carpenter, butcher, straw cutter and, of course, a farmer.
The museum owes its name to the location of the farm. Right next to the farm is the Esperloop. The bridge over Esperloop used to be the border between Bakel and Gemert. To cross the bridge, people had to pay a toll.
