In the heart of Almelo, near the Great Church, stands a city farm from the early 16th century. You will find half-timbered walls, wall and ceiling paintings. In the garden, the cherry trees bloom in full glory every spring. Over a cup of coffee in the courtyard, enjoy this rustic spot.
In the Weaver's House, you can admire the permanent exhibition ‘From flax to linen’, including a three-hundred-year-old loom, spinning wheels, various textile forms and old tools. There are regular demonstrations of weaving, spinning, lace-making and silk painting. You are welcome for a free tour of the museum.
