Mill De Jager on the island of Tholen is one of 11 mills owned by De Hollandsche Molen, the national windmill association. The scaffolding of this round stone corn mill is relatively low, so the circumference is braced with vertical posts. Mill De Jager dates back to 1850 and is millable again after a number of restorations. De Hollandsche Molen is also trying to keep the hull of this corn mill in the original Zeeland white colour scheme, which is not easy with all the problems surrounding brickwork. Due to its poor structural condition, the mill was not turnable and not accessible to the public for a long time. At the end of 2011, after a lengthy and costly restoration, the mill could be put back into operation.
