Somewhere hidden away in our country lies a green monument of 25,000 square metres, created by the creativity and enthusiasm of one woman: garden architect Mien Ruys. One of the most important garden architects of the 20th century, she spent seventy years using her ideas about plants and garden architecture to create fascinating gardens.
The Gardens of Mien Ruys gives you an overview of garden architecture from 1924 to the present day. In thirty inspiring gardens experiments are carried out in the fields of design, planting and materials.
