Maltha bird hide - Werkendam
At this sheltered spot in the Biesbosch, you have a view of a number of constructed lakes. You can see numerous birds here all year round. Tens of thousands of waterbirds winter in the Biesbosch, such as the nun, goosander, barnacle goose and the white-fronted goose. The white-tailed eagle also lives in the area. The ponds are also home to the kingfisher and beavers.
The inside of the bird hide is painted with images of birds seen here on and near the water.
