Lookout tower Den Helder - Den Helder
This lookout tower gives you a great view over the Mariëndal, a marshland area that attracts many special bird species. Over the years, for instance, desert plovers, an American golden plover and fringing plovers have been spotted there. Other waders, the kingfisher and several birds of prey also like to show themselves here.
Furthermore, from the tower you can look out over the Donkere Duinen and see Den Helder's lighthouse.
