The Roman Catholic church of Kwadendamme gave Z. Verhage land in 1875 for 60 guilders per year on a long lease to build the current mill. The mill has been sold several times. The mill body is cylindrical in shape above the scaffolding and built from yellow, red and blue brick. The whitewashed arches above the windows and doors adorn the whole.
Thanks to the six attics and missing living space, there is ample storage space in the mill. The mill interior is still almost authentic. The mill is still in use on a weekly basis on a voluntary basis. The flour produced is sold in the shop next to the mill.
