The steam pumping station is one of the oldest steam pumping stations in the Netherlands still in operation. It is one of the few remaining steam engines with two cylinders directly driving an overhead pump.
The pumping station can be visited every Saturday morning. The visitor centre is set up in the coal shed next to the pumping station. Here you can find out more about the history of water management, the pumping station and steam in general.
