Located in a beautiful complex of four former synagogues, the Jewish Historical Museum offers a glimpse of Jewish heritage, from the past to the present. You will find an impressive collection of art, historical objects, photographs and audiovisual presentations that tell stories about religion, traditions and the daily practice of Jewish life.
A visit to the museum gives you insight into an important and often underexposed side of Dutch history. There are also regularly changing exhibitions highlighting current themes, such as identity and diversity. The museum is accessible and engaging for visitors of all ages and offers special activities for children in the accompanying Children's Museum.
Step inside and be inspired by the resilience and creativity of a community that has left a lasting impression on Dutch society.
