The country house dates from 1868 and used to house boarders for a Latin School. The park has an arboretum (collection of trees) and a tea house. The imposing national monument has been beautifully restored and has been a hotel and culinary restaurant since 2007. The area around Doetinchem is wonderful for cycling and while taking a break at Villa Ruimzicht, you can also recharge your electric bike. The hotel offers bikes to rent for its guests.
