In a monumental building from the 17th century, you will learn all about Amsterdam's canals. Of course, the Grachtenmuseum (Canal Museum) is located on one of the canals that is a World Heritage Site: the Herengracht.
In an interactive tour, you will learn how Amsterdam grew bigger and bigger thanks to the canals. The Canal District was also an innovative and complex architectural project, which made Amsterdam a forerunner of other European cities 400 years ago. Moreover, three period rooms are dedicated to the history of this beautiful property.
