Giant bulb | Sea, wind, flowers, field - Noordwijkerhout
This giant tulip bulb was painted by artist Lisette Marije Eisinga, who, besides being a painter, is also a copywriter and designer. With painting, she is allowed to colour outside the lines and follow her own story. In her art, she reflects the peculiarities of nature and the interplay between man and nature.
This interplay is clearly expressed in the Bulb Region. Not only in the bulb fields, but also in the dunes. Although this is a natural landscape for this region, people have lived and worked in the dunes for centuries. If you look closely, you can still see the contours of old fields and farms in some places. But even here, there are some places where the landscape is still untouched. With this Giant Bulb, as part of the art project GIANT TULIP BULBS, Eisinga wanted to reflect this on her artwork.
