The ZeeuwsFruitMuseum is a voyage of discovery through the history of fruit and fruit growing. Valuable historical pieces have been preserved and can now also be viewed here.
As many as 170 different fruit trees grow in the museum garden, especially old apple and pear varieties. In spring, therefore, it is a feast of beautiful blossoms and in summer you can enjoy the sweet fruits here.
There is always something to admire in the garden, but also inside there is plenty to see: shutters, viewing boxes, authentic tools and a working auction clock with a digital auctioneer. The museum is an experience for young and old alike.
The museum shop sells various products from the region.
The museum is a 6-minute bike ride from Kapelle station and makes an excellent starting, finishing or break point for your bike ride. From Kapelle, you can cycle past fruit orchards or to De Moer, one of the oldest landscapes in Zeeland. End your cycle trip with a visit to the beautiful regional museum and settle down for a drink in the cosy café to catch your breath.
