Front Mill | Hooglandse Molen - Hellouw
The mill where you are standing now is the Voorste Molen of Hellouw, also called the Hooglandse Molen. There has been a mill on this spot for centuries. The first one that stood here was destroyed by rising ice in 1572. Less than 100 years later, the next mill burned down. After this, it was only around 1800 that the mill was expected for a new one.
