At the former German radar station Hase, near Harderwijk, two foundations of the radar installations that were stationed here between 1942 and 1945, have been preserved. This radar type had been placed on a round foundation for 360º turns. Another feature of the radars was their height adjustability, hence the addition of “Fahrstuhl”, the German word for “lift”. The radar had an approximate range of 150 kilometres (93 miles) and was often used in combination with the Würzburg Riese radar, the range of which was shorter but provided a more precise image. As far as we know, this is the only “visible” foundation to have been preserved in the Netherlands.
You will find the foundation near the Rietgors beach.
