The Fort at Edam is one of the best-preserved fortresses of the Defence Line of Amsterdam, located in the extreme northeast corner of this defence line. Various spaces have been set up in the fort as it must have looked a hundred years ago. Very special is the original kitchen from 1913, there is a beautifully decorated officers' canteen and a large scale model of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. Visitors have a beautiful view from the roof over the Zeevangpolder and the Markermeer.
