As dusk falls on 15 November 1944, twelve men on bicycles are on their way to 27 Wierdensestraat. The Dutch government has given written authorisation from London for what will later be the biggest bank robbery in Dutch history. Ordinary people from the area manage to rob the Germans of 46.1 million guilders with minimal preparations and resources. Unfortunately, things go wrong after two weeks. The Germans regain control of the money and of the robbers, only one returns after the war.
