The Eusebius church is Arnhem's first church and has been through a lot over the years. In the Second World War, for example, the church was almost completely burnt during the Battle of Arnhem. After the war, the church was rebuilt and restored.

Today, the church can be visited and you can discover all about the history of the monument and the city. There are exhibitions on the Battle of Arnhem and the history of the Duchy of Gelre. You can visit tombs in the church and admire the mausoleum of Charles of Egmond, Duke of Gelre. The man who was so important to the people of Arnhem died in 1538 and was given a black marble mausoleum with his statue of white alabaster here. He is guarded by six golden lions.

A visit atop the tower is only suitable for those without vertigo. A glass panoramic lift takes you all the way to the top. At 60 metres, on the east and west sides of the tower, you will find spectacular glass balconies. From here you have a view of the wide surroundings and you can take your very best selfie high above Arnhem.
