"King Louis Napoleon, the supposed father of the later French emperor Napoleon III, had the Echo well dig between 1809 and 1811. The aim was to enable the people and horses that traveled on the new paved road to the west to drink water. For more than 150 years, people liked to come here for a drink and later for the special echo in the 62-meter deep well. You will only hear your own voice ringing back from the dark well after eight seconds! to prevent the water in the well from getting dirty.
