Dinkelstein 20 | Controlling the powers of Nature - Tilligte
The Bijdinkel joins the Almelo-Nordhorn canal at Schuivenhuisje Tilligte. Near here, the river Dinkel also flows under the canal. The artwork ‘Control of natural forces’ is about control in the broadest sense of the word, applied to this specific spot. By devising technical solutions, man manages to control the forces of nature as well as possible. This is also true of this water mill.
Dinkelstein 20 is made of bronze and stone. The bronze image symbolises man's influence and his control of nature.
