This stone is close to the Natura Docet Wonderryck Twente at the site of a now-vanished arm of the Dinkel. The stone depicts the original flow direction of the stream and shows the altered course of the river. This change has influenced the formation and character of the landscape in north-east Twente, as well as its inhabitants. Therefore, this stone is an Ode to the Dinkel.
