De Beverbrug observation tower - Krimpen aan de Lek
This work of art was designed by Ruud Reutelingsperger of the Observatorium artists' collective. From here you can look out over the river Lek and the De Zaag nature reserve. The tower is 14 metres high, so a beautiful view is guaranteed!
The bridge's purpose is immediately clear when you see it. It resembles a bridge built of tree trunks gnawed by beavers. The hope is that this will attract more beavers to the area.
Climb to the top and enjoy the beautiful view of Rotterdam, the rivers and Natuureiland.
Note that you cannot ride your bike all the way here, so hop off and walk the last bit to the bridge.
