Contemporary chapel, Leidsche Rijn - Utrecht
Similar little buildings are scattered around the new urban extension Leidsche Rijn. They resemble Catholic chapels, but are completely religiously neutral. Anyone can sit in them, rest or muse for a while, and watch passing cyclists. Here, moreover, you have a view of Nedal, a factory that produces lampposts for the whole of the Netherlands. Metalworking, including that in non-precious materials, is still an important industry in Utrecht.
