Built in the 17th century, Kasteel Oud Poelgeest has a rich history. The castle is surrounded by a picturesque park. This was once the home of Herman Boerhaave, a famous physician and botanist.

Today the castle is used as a hotel, with eight beautiful period rooms, a castle bar with a terrace by the pond and a restaurant and event location. The Coach House which is on the estate is also set up as a hotel-restaurant with a terrace and 47 hotel rooms.
