Café-Restaurant de Bazel is a still largely hidden gem in the city centre, located in the also not yet crowded building De Bazel. A wonderfully beautiful and interesting building designed by Karel de Bazel and now home to, among others, the Amsterdam City Archive, where continuously changing exhibitions (mostly free of charge) can be visited.
The restaurant is open from breakfast to dinner. Not only is it nice to sit here because of the many delicious dishes, but also because of the beautiful surroundings and relaxed atmosphere, even though you are in the heart of Amsterdam. The menu features classics, Amsterdam specialities and dishes with surprising flavour combinations. There is also ample vegetarian and vegan choice.
