Café De Oude Herberg - De Rijp
De Rijp in the Land of Leeghwater also has its own brewery. Not a historic brewery, but a modern brewery that started as a hobby for head brewer Hans and grew into a serious enterprise that brews various beers inspired by the Land of Leeghwater. Each one is a specialty beer with a unique character.
The brewery itself is not open to visitors. However, you can sample the beers from the Leeghwater Brewery at Café De Oude Herberg in De Rijp. In summer, you can enjoy a nice beer and a traditional Dutch snack called a bitterbal on the waterside terrace, as well as a good lunch or extensive dinner.
In winter, the hospitable team will be happy to welcome you in the warm and cosy restaurant or at the bar.
