Opposite the house where young Toon Hermans used to live with his parents, at Begijnenhofstraat number 5 in Sittard, stands his bust made by artist Diny van Gansewinkel. The artist was herself once a resident of the Begijnenhofstraat.

The bronze bust was unveiled in 2005 by his son Maurice Hermans in honour of the fifth anniversary of Toon's death.
