Discover the history of World War II in unique museum bunkers managed by the Bunker Preservation Foundation. Be surprised by changing exhibitions on the Battle of the Schelde and military technology. Some bunkers on Walcheren can be visited by appointment.
Take an impressive walk of some 500 metres from the bottom bunker to the top bunker, right through the dunes, for spectacular views.
Note that the museum has minimal facilities, such as no toilet. Fortunately, there are catering establishments nearby and you can buy books about the Atlantic Wall and the liberation of Walcheren at a small stand. Admission is free, but a voluntary contribution is appreciated. Be aware that the observation bunker on top of the dune is not accessible to wheelchair users.
