This medieval Franciscan monastery church was founded at the end of the 13th century. Until 1580, the church was used by the Friars Minor, as the Franciscans are also called. The friars were followers of Francis of Assisi, a wealthy young man who donated all his possessions to the poor and then continued to live in poverty himself.
Due to a fire in 1980, the Brother Church was partially renovated. Now the ruin has a glass roof allowing cultural events to take place in it.
